I’ve been off exploring–Villa Ephrussi for the gardens, Antibes, the fort at Villefranche (along with a wierd black crosissant-would you eat it?) and new places to eat in Nice. Enjoy!

They said the black was from charcoal. It really didn’t taste as bad as it looks, but it wouldn’t be in my best croissant list…
Thanks Iva! It’s so great here. I’ve always wanted to visit the Villa Ephrussi and a friend said it was an easy bus ride so I went. Incredible location!!
Anne, great slideshow. This makes me want to go back to the Cote d’Azur!! Now that I’ve read the history of the Ephrussi family, I can’t believe I never went to the villa, but maybe in 1978 it wasn’t open to the public. So lovely. Everything looks so gorgeous, especially the flowers. Enjoy it!
Maybe the black croissant uses black cocoa like I have from Holland…?
