The Accidental Locavore has exciting news! I’m going to be hosting a weekly radio show, The Accidental Locavore Live on Pawling Public Radio.
The show will air live Mondays, 5-5:30 pm Eastern Time and rebroadcast on Fridays, 12-12:30 pm. If you’re in the neighborhood of Pawling, it’s WPWL, 103.7 FM. For most of you, better to livestream it: www.pawlingpublicradio.org.
My first guest will be my friend Janet Irizarry of JI Restaurant Consulting. Janet works with restaurants to help them increase profits and increase their social media and web presence.
This Monday, we’ll chat about restaurant pet peeves. I’ll talk about some of my pet peeves with restaurants – like clearing the table while someone is still eating.
Janet will explain why/how some of these things happen and let us know what we as diners could be doing to improve our experience.
Judging from our practice round last week, it should be a very entertaining and informative half hour!
If you’ve got a restaurant pet peeve, and I know you do, we’ll be taking calls, so call into 845-493-0355 and join the conversation.
It’s going to be really exciting and you’ll get to meet some of the great food, restaurants, farmers, purveyors, movers and shakers here in the Hudson Valley!
Like the Accidental Locavore blog, it will be an interesting mix of whatever is catching my attention. We might even do some cooking and recipes.
If you’d like to be kept updated, the newsletter will have what’s coming up (so if you’re not on the mailing list, now is a good time to sign up).
While I’ve got a long list of potential guests, if you’ve got any suggestions for guests or topics you’d like to see covered, please leave a comment below.
It would be great if they were in the area, but technology is a wonderful thing (most of the time) and we can make it work almost anywhere in the world.
Let me know what you think of the show!
